Rose Bay Promenade, New South Head Rd. Rose Bay

Eco Civil Constructions has undertaken a large project that stretches some 735m on the Northern side of New South Head Road, Rose Bay to upgrade the promenade and to provide a stormwater treatment and re-use system.

The work includes the removal of the existing footpath and replacing it with new, 4m wide suspended slabs. These slabs are supported on steel screw piles to prevent erosion under the path and possible future damage to the path. The characteristic balustrade that lines the promenade and the concrete stairs that lead down to the water are also being repaired.

Whilst the promenade is being upgraded, 11 water harvesting tanks within the existing car parking bays are to be installed underneath the road. Each of the filtered tanks leads to one large, central tank from which stormwater can be redistributed to water the surrounding trees and grass areas.
